Initially, this article was supposed to be a quick small chart update (the one shown in this article) with a few sentences but turned into a brief article as I wanted to further clarify some points and share my thoughts on them.

I genuinely care more about authentic"Human 1.0" than the "Industry 4.0". However, the gap "between tools and skills" is in a rapid increase and it can be the reason for not benefiting the technological developments enough and the answer to the question of "why efficiency and effectiveness are not getting better in parallel to the developments of the tools that are at our disposal".

Take the developments in design software as an example. There is not much time for anyone to master on any particular program before it becomes obsolete or a completely new product is introduced as a total game changer while trying to catch up with the existing ones.

There are more than two thousand functions in Microsoft's most popular office programs together (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and major updates are released almost in every two or three years. This is more than to handle for the most people.

I believe that this might be one of the reasons why Microsoft adding smart-prediction-like new features such as “tell me what you want to do” feature in office 2016 or “smart picture design layout suggestion” feature which pops up when you work with an image file on a PowerPoint document. They help to save time and effort by predicting what functions you might need at the moment.

I find it very reasonable that Microsoft is trying to implement more “smart features” for its users to deal with overwhelming updates and greatly enhanced capabilities of their software. But this brings up the further question "if artificial intelligence (known as A.I) is the missing piece for catching up with the technological tools”.

Integration of human skill with A.I might be what is needed to keep up with the exponential technological developments.
